What the app does
Stareo hides short text messages in autostereograms (hidden 3D images) and reveals what is hidden in stereograms you already have. Messages are laid out, rendered and decoded on your device, and the app tells you as you type when a message is too long to read once hidden.
Not everyone can see autostereograms
Some people cannot fuse autostereograms at all, usually because of how their two eyes work together. The app includes a viewing trainer before any purchase, the Reveal feature always shows the hidden shape and is free, and we say this plainly so you can check before you buy. Please try the free tier first.
Free tier and purchases
The free tier lets you create, export and share unlimited secret messages, and use the Reveal and the stereogram decoder. Free exports carry a small Stareo band below the picture. A single one-time in-app purchase, Stareo Unlock, removes the band and adds every pattern and color palette. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and does not auto-renew. The current price is shown in the App Store at the time of purchase. Purchases are handled by the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms; refunds are requested through Apple.
Your content
Only decode images you have the right to use. You are responsible for the messages you write and for anything you choose to share. Everything you create with Stareo belongs to you.
Health and comfort
Viewing autostereograms involves holding your eyes in an unusual posture. Take breaks, stop if you feel eye strain or discomfort, and do not use the app while doing anything that needs your attention.
No warranty
Stareo is provided without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the app.
